About The Designer

I grew up near glorious yellow sandy beaches and dunes.
Gran was a tailoress and Mum taught me sewing, knitting, crochet and hand embroidery so I began creating clothes from age seven onwards.

Arts A levels: discovered pottery, fabric design, silk screen printing, batik, watercolour painting, love of Romantic poets, Shakespeare and History.

University: Arts Degree followed by Education Degree. Fourteen years Primary Teaching - Leeds, Essex, Thurrock, Cornwall - immersed in the buzzing world of children's creativity, energy, ideas and experimentation.

I holidayed in Cornwall as a child, the memories never left me and I always dreamt of one day being able to live in Cornwall. Ten years ago I achieved my dream and came down to Cornwall to live. I soon discovered Reiki healing and became a Reiki practitioner. I have, like all girls, had a lifelong fascination with handbags and this has led me into now making my own quality one off bags.The wonderful light of Cornwall, the energies, stunning scenic beauty - all the inspiration a creative person needs for card designing, creating unique one-of-a-kind handmade bags under my own label Bag2Love and so this one woman business was born.
