About The Designer
I started on the path towards my own handmade greetings cards and gifts business going to University from school to study for my B.A. Honours degree then primary teaching qualifications. I have always been interested in art and design and thoroughly enjoyed my years in primary teaching helping to unlock the creativity in children. This time in my life provided a rich source of ideas, experimentation and inspiration for my card designs.
My first career was cut short when I received an irresolvable injury making it impossible to safely carry out all the duties required of a teacher so I unhappily had to leave the profession and change career direction.
Design Inspiration
I now enjoy my new working life designing and making my cards in which every card is a new creative challenge. Living and working in spiritual Cornwall with energies all around, the unique light loved by so many artists combined with our stunning scenery excites me. Cornwall is a major source of inspiration for my collection of unique and original card designs, incorporating gouache paintings, watercolours, photographs, fabrics and natural materials.

Did I forget to mention that I am delighted to accept commissions from individuals who wish to have a bespoke card or cards designed to their specification? If you have an idea for a card or invitation you wish to send someone and are unable to find it, just send me an outline by email and I will be pleased to design it with you.
